چکیده

Abstract: Aim/Background: Metastasis is the main reason of death in cancer with a key challenge to target it precisely by available treatments. The current study was designed assess anti-metastatic potentials synthesized chalcones, Ch-1 and Ch-2. Materials Methods: In vitro included cytotoxicity, scratch wound assay cell cycle analysis vivo performed C57BL/6 mice B16-F10 induced metastatic lung model. Results: found be potent cytotoxic agent on lines namely, MCF-7 (human breast cells), (melanoma Hela (cervical cells) HEK embryonic kidney IC50 < 100 μM. deterred G2/M phase cycle, S Phase HeLa G0-G1 cycle. Scratch cells Ch-2 showed significant (p<0.05) prevention their multiplication when compared untreated at both 24 h 48 intervals. that, oral administration mg/kg b.w. reduced nodules 77.32%. Standard drug Quercetin inhibited tumor nodule formation 56.5%. However, except for WBC count, (100 mg/kg) also displayed improvement hematological profile. No difference any groups animals mean body weight major organ weight. Conclusion: Study supports possible use as potential anticancer cancer. Key words: Chalcones, Anticancer, melanoma cells, Metastatic cancer, Cell Cycle.

In vivo knockdown of CXCR4 using jetPEI/CXCR4 shRNA nanoparticles inhibits the pulmonary metastatic potential of B16‑F10 melanoma cells.

Metastasis is a key factor that limits survival in the majority of patients with cancer. Thus, numerous efforts have been made to elucidate the molecular mechanisms involved in this phenomenon. B16‑F10 melanoma cells have been demonstrated to be highly metastatic to the lungs in mice. The aim of the current study was to investigate the role of CXC motif chemokine receptor 4 (CXCR4) in the metas...

Preparation and Evaluation anticancer activity of D-glucosamine Nanoparticles on Metastatic cancer Model in vivo

Objective(s): Breast cancer imposes a highest rate of malignancy among the women all around the world. Chitin and its derivatives such as D-glucosamine-carboxymethyl chitin and Di-hydroxy propyl chitin have immune-modulating effects and influence on innate and acquisitive immunity which lead to cell activity enhancement. The aim of this study was investigating the effect ...

Theophylline administration markedly reduces hepatic and pulmonary implantation of B16-F10 melanoma cells in mice.

Theophylline-treated B16-F10 melanoma cells show a lower experimental metastatic potential in vivo. To identify the possible mechanism(s) involved and on the basis of previous reports, we tested the induction of apoptosis in B16-F10 cells. Fluorescence activated cell sorter (FACS) analysis and p53 overexpression in theophylline-treated B16-F10 melanoma cells appeared to suggest enhanced cell de...

The role of microRNA-30a and downstream snail1 on the growth and metastasis of melanoma tumor

Objective(s): Growing evidences have indicated microRNAs as modulators of tumor development and aggression. On the other hand, a phenomenon known as epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) that indicates a transient phase from epithelial-like features to mesenchymal phenotype is a key player in tumor progression.  In this study, we aimed to assess the potential impacts...

Cytotoxicity Effect of Cold Atmospheric Plasma on Melanoma (B16-F10), Breast (MCF-7) and Lung (A549) Cancer Cell Lines Compared with Normal Cells

Background and purpose: Cancer is one of the major health challenges in the world. The efficacy of current treatments is low but their side effects are high. Cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) is a new modality for cancer treatment. This study aimed to compare the cytotoxicity effect of CAP on the cell line models of common cancers and normal cells. Materials and methods: In this experimental study...
